Taco Chilli


Ingredients
  • 1 pound 99% fat free ground turkey
  • Reduced sodium packaged taco seasoning
  • 1 can organic (no salt added) diced tomatoes
  • 2 4 ounce cans of green chilies
  • 1 can organic black beans
  • 1 can organic pinto beans
  • 1 can corn 
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 1 jalapeño
Toppings: fat free shredded cheese, fat free sour cream, blue corn tortilla chips

Method

Brown ground turkey in a skillet. While turkey is browning;dice green pepper, onion and jalapeno. When turkey is done, add taco seasoning as directed on the package.

Combine all ingredients in a large stock pot and bring to a simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring often. Cover and allow to cook for 1 and 1/2 hours.

Serve with toppings! Yummy!

Note: This recipe is pretty spicy! If you have sensitive taste, omit the jalapeño! Its just as good with out it!
